Cloud computing is the biggest buzz word in content distribution these days, but questions remain about licensing issues, payment schemes and the “sanitizing” of illegally obtained files. File sharing sites continue to be a target of lawsuits from content owners and trade groups: in some cases winning (YouTube), losing (KaZaa), winning but still losing (Veoh), and losing but still winning (Limewire). Our panel will discuss these issues, the state of the law on cloud storage and file sharing, and how these two distinct types of services relate to one another.
