Privacy in Social Media: Dealing with An Oxymoron

As social media and traditional entertainment media continue to converge, media companies increasingly face claims about the misuse of personal identifying information that includes GPS data. We will hear from expert in-house and law firm practitioners about current topics such as the privacy implications of integrating social media services with multiple music streaming providers; the use of PII in targeted online advertising; shared login services; shared playlists; and how companies can deal with global consumers, despite the EU’s different, but evolving approach to privacy regulation.
